Could there be a better wine to guide us into spring than Sauvignon Blanc? Green grass, yellow daffodils and white snow drops brush the landscape and bring us naturally to thinking about Sauvignon Blanc.  Fresh, fun and approachable, Sauvignon Blanc embodies the new season and it is pairable with so many spring dishes from wild garlic to broccoli, and dare I say asparagus.

Originating in the Loire, Sauvignon Blanc from Sancerre is a traditional expression whilst New Zealand has become a force onto itself, with many consumers now expecting grapefruit, tart, green apple and cats pee anytime they see Sauvignon Blanc on a wine list or in the store. But there is so much more to the Sauvignon Blanc story.

Bordeaux, South Africa and California are all producing exciting styles of Sauvignon Blanc.  The varietal lends itself to experimentation, from steel to oak, skin contact to foot treading, Sauvignon Blanc, like a shapeshifter, can take on many forms. Our exciting Sauvignon Blancs hail from California and are ready to take you on a new journey through Monterey, Napa and Sonoma.

All are very different from each other and eschew traditional flavour profiles. The wines express creative winemaking using low intervention and blending to get enticing and alive wines. BOLD has incredible texture and citrus whilst Illumination is full bodied with guava and orange blossom flowing though it.

As the sun shines and the grass looks greener, grab a glass and fill it with the wine of spring, Sauvignon Blanc.
