Pritchard Hill is one of Napa Valley’s most coveted growing sites, and the IX Estate — perched at 1,100–1,400 feet overlooking Lake Hennessey — is among its finest expressions. First produced in 2002, IX Estate is a wine of great power and purpose, equally compelling in youth and built to age gracefully for decades.

The 2017 beams with iron, graphite, and sappy wild sage on the nose — soil-driven aromatics that speak directly of this volcanic hillside. Raspberry and marzipan combine with juniper and nutmeg, adding complexity at every sip. The palate is firm yet harmonious, with heightened acidity and remarkable focus and purity. The finish is long, concentrated, and built for the long haul.

Grown on 20 acres of well-drained reddish clays with weathered igneous rocks at elevation. Offered as a 3 x 750ml original wooden case.
