Sandar & Hem Pinot Noir 2020
A wine of intense aromatic complexity and focus, born from the wild and rugged Santa Cruz Mountains. Drawn from multiple vineyard blocks at the far northern reaches of the AVA, this Pinot Noir rewards with the characteristic structure and freshness of fruit grown on densely-wooded mountainsides.
Red cherry, forest floor, and subtle spice define the nose. On the palate, bright acidity and silky tannins frame a focused, structured finish — approachable now, with the depth to develop further in the cellar.
Grapes were sourced from a range of sites across the Northern Skyline subregion, with each barrel selected for freshness and aromatic lift. Aged 18 months in French oak, with 15% new wood to add texture without overwhelming the wine's natural delicacy.
