Shypoke Twin Rock Zinfandel 2019

The Poor Ranch sits high in the hills above Hopland, homesteaded by the Poor family in 1888. The Twin Rock Zinfandel block was planted in 1945 at 1,700 feet elevation, where ancient vines struggle in rocky red soil — grown organically and without irrigation ever since.

This is Zinfandel stripped back to its essence: old vines, difficult terrain, and the patient hand of winemaker Peter Heitz. A wine of real character and rarity.
