Stunning, deep aromas of minerals, plums, and spice. The palate is impeccably balanced but powerful with tremendous concentration and length. Plums again, blueberries and cherries make up the fruit core but there is much more going on than pure fruit.

Description

bel canto, n. a. A style of singing characterized by beauty of tone rather than dramatic power [Italian, literally: beautiful singing], b. Cadence blend of Cabernet Franc and Merlot grown on its estate, Cara Mia Vineyard.

I am in love with the 2017 vintage. Bright, fresh feel, great balance and acidity, 2017 has it all. Bel Canto opens with stunning, deep aromas of minerals, plums, and spice. The palate is impeccably balanced but powerful with tremendous concentration and length. Plums again, blueberries and cherries make up the fruit core but there is much more going on than pure fruit. Today the wine is best on the finish – long, concentrated and lifted by acidity and an amazing tannic structure. Decant for pleasure now or hold until your patience wears thin!
