Haynes Vineyard Syrah 2019

£40.80 Inc VAT

A beguiling wine of deep crimson that exudes autumnal fruits on the nose and challenges the traditional Syrah profiles. The cooling winds off the San Pablo Bay give this wine great acidity whilst the warmth of Napa and beauty of the ancient Coombsville soils have provided perfect fruit structured to last.  The recent change of hand at the famed Haynes Vineyard makes this wine event more special and rare.  Grab it before this beautiful version is gone.

Description

The 2019 Haynes Vineyard Syrah was sourced from organically farmed vines planted in the mid-1990’s in the deeply alluvial soils of the Coombsville AVA in Napa Valley (the vineyard’s original plantings date back to 1966). Because it is tempered by the immediate cooling effects of San Pablo Bay, the vineyard experiences some of the mildest growing conditions in all of Napa. The Syrah rows are an interesting mix of different clonal selections and run across a gentle knoll on the vineyard’s East side. From here, it’s possible
to see Mt. Tam on a clear day.
