Detert Cabernet Franc Oakville 2018

Detert’s Oakville Cabernet Franc is a wine of remarkable texture and longevity — lush and enveloping in the mouth, yet bright and lively with a freshness that keeps it singing. The 2018 vintage is destined to bring pleasure for decades.

Gorgeous aromas of black cherry, floral blackberry, baking chocolate, and black pepper, with background notes of tobacco leaf and graphite. Super textural on the palate, with a lush, velvety structure and layers of floral dark fruits, mineral, and savoury herb. Hints of black olive in the background, with a dense core of mineral, bittersweet cocoa, anise, and refined finishing tannin.

Harvested 27th September and 11th October 2018. Bottled May 2020.
